- Set a budget early and keep on top of your spending by saving receipts, keeping a spreadsheet or setting up a separate savings pot
- Try not to get overwhelmed with options by limiting your research time. Your day will be magical whatever you decide to do, it's the people not the things you'll remember for years to come

- Split your 'to do' list in to smaller manageable lists of what needs addressing each month. It'll be less stress and easier to budget

- Work with suppliers you trust - ask for recommendations from friends and family or use a website like hitched to check through customer reviews and photos
- If you are concerned about cancellations or last minute changes consider taking out wedding insurance for peace of mind
